Anne Teehan: Founder's Profile Anne Teehan excels at bringing order to chaos and finding a way through where none seemed possible before. She often acts as a thinking partner with exceptionally capable and talented clients – leaders, managers, and teams – who benefit from her clear perspective, calm focus, and dedicated attention to their success. For the past several years, Anne has worked with executives, mid-level managers, and teams in the public and private sectors to improve their capacity to achieve their goals through effective management and leadership. She specializes in shifting frenetic activity and busyness into purposeful action and sustainable results. Anne invites clients to tune out the noise and the typical corporate coping strategies in order to pursue what truly matters most to them and to see things through to successful conclusion. Anne combines the skill and savvy of real-world program management experience with the objectivity and patience of a leadership coach. Lifelong learning – in the classroom and in the corporate trenches – has given Anne a uniquely pragmatic and compassionate wisdom. She uses her well-honed strengths to create a culture of trust and hope for her clients; out of which clear decisiveness and high leverage action can happen. She brings a certain vulnerability and real presence to bear in a way that frees others to see things in a different light. The impact is that clients report feeling more clear-headed and better able to see where, in the midst of conflicting priorities and impossible deadlines, the leverage is for movement. They often find their professional achievement and enjoyment levels soaring. Anne offers uncommon value to her clients with her track record of successfully-implemented programs and the priceless lessons she’s learned throughout her 20 year career as a coach, business consultant, and program leader. Her corporate and consulting career includes tenures with Discovery Communications (Discovery Channel), SAP America, The Washington Post, the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD\FINRA), Deloitte, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and other multi-national corporations and federal government agencies. Anne is a Georgetown University Certified and ICF Credentialed Leadership Coach. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and serves as a Mount St. Mary’s University Adjunct Professor teaching management and leadership in the MBA program. In 2009, she was privileged to contribute to the book, No One Path: Perspectives on Leadership from a Decade of Women in Technology Award Winners. Her academic credentials include an MBA from Mount Saint Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland University College. Her curiosity and passion for excellence have fueled her ongoing learning in the areas of Adult Development and Team Coaching and her certification in The Leadership Circle™ assessment instrument. All of these have greatly influenced her work and provided increased benefit to her clients through richer understanding of the dynamics involved in creating positive change in oneself and in organizations. Anne lives in the Washington, D.C. area. When she’s not coaching, consulting, or teaching, she most enjoys spending time relaxing with close friends and her extended family. |
